WE MUST REMEMBER

I sincerely urge all of us to quietly contemplate the extraordinary and immense sacrifice of our brothers and sisters who DID NOT QUIT and fought to make America a land of liberty, a land of hope, and a land of the brave! WE MUST REMEMBER THEM! They were OUR brothers and OUR sisters. If we as a people truly love and are grateful for our country, and for the blessings of freedom, for the blessing to think and act for ourselves, then it is essential and absolutely imperative that we understand HOW those blessings came to be. We must remember the suffering, the sacrifice, and the pain that was theirs. For us to simply take for granted the immense blessings that are so readily ours without remembering their sacrifice is an awful tragedy.

Let me ask you this question: WOULD THOSE OF US IN COMFORT GIVE HALF AS MUCH FOR THE CAUSE OF FREEDOM IN OUR TIME??

Please listen to the inspiring and moving words of David Mccullough as you watch this short video. It portrays in a small, yet very powerful way the sacrifices of those we must never forget.

  1. Matt-

What a concept to actually look at the sacrifice others have made for us. As far as how much would we give for the cause of freedom, I think it is sad to see so many who won't get involved, yet very heartening to see those who do try to continually work towards the cause of freedom.

Thanks for the blog and preach on preacher man!

  3. Matt,

It makes me proud to see a younger generation, seeing the realization of the importance of true history. People have forgotten what America is and what it stands for! The problem is our children are not taught the true history, its the liberal indoctrination that has you blind folded, marching America to the edge of a cliff!

  4. Matt,

What a touching story. I am very humbled by the sacrifice made in by behalf from the countless men and women who sacrificed so much for me. How sad yet how glorious is that story of the painter who didn’t even recognize his own brother because of the great sacrifice he had made for this country. I know I truly don’t understand to what extent they suffered so I can live in such comfort today. I am so grateful to be an American, but concerned because of the way this country is headed. I pray we can all learn and understand how blessed we are to live in this great country "The land of the free and the home of the brave" and step up and do our part to keep it great.

  5. I totally agree if there is no support for our troops and if in any way you dont want to respect them. Get the hell out of this country. Nothing I hate more then someone who thinks they have every right to stay free in this country but disrespect every aspect of what it stands for. A man or a woman who is brave enough to stand up for what they believe is by far superior then a chicken shit who is hiding in the shadows. Supporting our troops is vital and knowing what they stand for is a necessity. Thank you troops for all you do. Only a matter of time till im there with you all.
